Story:
The story of a racehorse Sixteen describes the journey of a small foal turning into a legend. Story begins in the seaside town of Deauville (Normandy) in the north of France. After a successful racing career, Sixteen is transferred to "retirement", right after her life is saved by undergoing colic surgery at the last moment. Now it spends most of its time like almost everyone in old age - alone. Sixteen has personified human qualities in the narration of the film. Its inner voice, personified by a literary text, read by actress Tereza Voříšková, comments on events and memories of its life. Simultaneously with this narrative based on subjective comments, often with an ironic perspective, a direct narrator, its owner Jaroslav Bouček and his family, enter the story. His relationship to racing, horses, many years, experience with punters, betting, deep behind-the-scenes knowledge of the environment and his personal life will form a parallel to the story of Sixteen.
