This Finnish comedy about a group of friends who are meeting again in a cottage after years at a weekend celebration of their 35th birthday will convince you of that. Years of unfettered youth have been replaced by ironed conventions of the middle class, and the approaching hemispherical birthday of mutual friend Mitzi so easily gives reason to visit the cottage, where everyone once mated as a teenager. A simple plot makes brilliantly written dialogues, layered characters and notorious songs stand out.
